A simply spectacular walking trip

The spectacular Mount Elgon area provides some of the most incredible countryside in Uganda. The mountain is said to have one of the largest surface area of any extinct volcano in the world and is peppered with cliffs, caves, gorges and waterfalls. The caldera covers some 40km2 at the top of the mountain!

And the Sipi Falls in the foothills of the mountain has to be the most beautiful and romantic waterfall in the country.
Accommodation is in Volcanoes’ Sipi Falls Rest Camp, delightfully situated and with quite enthralling views. You will be impressed by the sensitive design of the camp which provides full amenities and the service and food is excellent. An ideal spot from which to explore this fascinating and unique terrain
